Monali Thakur Raced to the Hospital and Stopped Her Concert After Feeling Breathless

Monali Thakur was performing at the Dinhata Festival in Bihar when she looked distressed and stopped her concert completely.

Monali Thakur, best known for her hit songs Sawar Loon and Zara Zara Touch Me, was transported to the hospital after complaining of shortness of breath. The singer was playing at the Dinhata festival in Bihar when she became distressed and abruptly ended her concert.

Monali rushed to the hospital.

According to a News18 story, Monali’s team sought medical treatment after she appeared distressed and interrupted her performance in the middle. Monali was subsequently rushed to Dinhata Sub-District Hospital in Cooch Behar, where she is now receiving treatment. More information about her health and status is anticipated.

Monali’s latest controversy

Monali published a statement earlier this month after leaving the stage mid-performance during her December 22 concert in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred when Monali fled the stage after playing for around 45 minutes.

In viral footage, Monali was seen addressing the audience, stating, “I’m disappointed that my crew and I were so thrilled to perform here. Let us not discuss the infrastructure and its state, as that is the management’s job. I can’t explain what they did to the stage to take money.”

The singer took to Instagram on Monday to disclose details about the alleged mismanagement and maltreatment of her and her team by the event organizers. “I had hoped not to end 2024 or begin the new year 2025 by discussing the horrific and negative incident that my team and I experienced in Varanasi.” However, after considerable thought, I believe it is critical to communicate these unpleasant truths–not only to raise awareness, but also to advocate for changes in how such problems are handled. The event-organizing company’s founder has submitted a confession and apology letter, which is attached. Monali added, “I hope this letter clears up any confusion about the credibility of any of the false defamatory accusations made against my team and me, as well as the organizers’ treacherous and unethical behavior.”

Monali also revealed that her staff demonstrated “severe negligence” in basic infrastructure safety, forcing her to leave the stage in the middle of her performance. “It has been really upsetting for me to process the reckless and irresponsible behavior of the event management company’s crew. Their exploitation of laws established to protect against sexual harassment, which are critical for protecting people, particularly women in our society, is both awful and unacceptable. “Weaponizing such laws for personal vendetta, ego satisfaction, or retaliation against those who refused to comply with unethical practices is not only a gross violation of rights, but also a grave insult to genuine survivors of these heinous crimes,” the singer said.

“This reckless behavior undermines the credibility of survivors who have shown tremendous courage in pursuing justice, as well as the efforts of those working to eradicate such atrocities. It is especially distressing to see young women partaking in such actions, as it undermines the cause and fosters cynicism in an issue that should always be taken seriously,” she noted.

Monali also complained about the “treatment of vendors” and others “working behind the scenes” during the event. “It is absolutely unacceptable to treat vendors poorly, cheat them of their hard-earned money, or con them in any way,” she told me. “Disrespecting and harassing those who labor behind the scenes…is not the way ahead. Such behavior should never be allowed or encouraged.
