Sonu Nigam Stated That AR Rahman’s Work in Yuvvraaj as “Bekaar.” ‘I Will Be Unable to Praises for a Composition That Is Flawed.’

Subhash Ghai's Yuvvraaj was the subject of Sonu Nigam's criticism of AR Rahman's music, and he stated that all of the songs in the film were poor. In Yuvvraaj, Sonu sung three songs in Yuvvraaj.

R Rahman and Sonu Nigam have collaborated on numerous occasions to produce chart-topping Bollywood compositions. Nevertheless, in a recent interview with O2 India, Sonu Nigam criticized the album of Yuvvraaj, which was composed by Rahman and starred Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. She referred to it as “bekaar” (poor).

In Yuvvraaj, Sonu Nigam refers to Rahman’s album as “bekaar.”

Sonu Nigam described Shano Shano from Yuvvraaj as “pretty average” and “not such a good song” when questioned about his experience singing it. He also stated, “Let’s refrain from discussing it, please.” Falsehood is beyond my capacity. I will be unable to express my appreciation for a song that is subpar. The singer responded, “Voh bhool jaiye aap,” when asked about the other two tunes he sang for the film. “I suppose it will be forgotten.” None of the tracks were satisfactory.

Regarding Yuvvraaj

Subhash Ghai is the director and producer of the melodic romantic family drama film Yuvvraaj. The film, which featured Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, and Zayed Khan, was a commercial catastrophe. A. R. Rahman composed the soundtrack, while Gulzar wrote the lyrics. Tu Meri Dost Hai, Shano Shano, Tu Muskura, Mastam Mastam, Dil Ka Rishta, and Zindagi were among the eight tunes that were featured in the film.

For those who are unfamiliar, AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam have collaborated on numerous chart-topping hits, including Satrangi Re, Saathiya, O Humdum Suniyo Re, and others. Nevertheless, Yuvvraaj appears to be a rare instance in which their collaboration did not resonate with the singer.

It is intriguing that Subhash Ghai, the director of Yuvvraaj, had previously disclosed to ANI that AR Rahman’s Oscar-winning song Jai Ho was originally composed for his film. He disclosed that the song had been recorded for Yuvvraaj; however, he was of the opinion that it did not correspond well with Zayed Khan’s character. As a result, Rahman elected to donate the song to Slumdog Millionaire, where it garnered widespread acclaim and became a global phenomenon.
