The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) docked its satellites successfully in space on Friday, which was praised by China.
“Go India #ISRO! You did a great job docking the satellites as part of the SpaDeX mission!” Yu Jing, a Chinese spokesman in India, said.
In space on Thursday, the Indian space agency successfully docked two satellites. This made India the fourth country in the world to achieve this goal. Russia, China, the United States, and India had all docked their satellites in space before India.
China has said nice things about India before. The Indian Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), which is also called Mangalyaan, entered Mars’ orbit safely in September 2014. China praised India right away for the success of its mission to Mars, calling it not only a proud moment for the country and Asia but also a “landmark progress” in the history of human space travel.
India was the first country in Asia and the first country in the world to reach Mars’ orbit on its first try thanks to the MOM. When China’s first mission to Mars, Tianwen-1, was launched in 2020, it reached Mars’ orbit safely in February 2021.
Ten years before that, Beijing missed its chance to go into orbit around Mars when its orbiter, Yinghuo-1, which was riding on the Russian spaceship Phobos, broke down in the middle of its journey. Spacecraft from both Russia and China crashed into the earth’s atmosphere and burned up.
Also, after India landed on the moon in 2023, the Chinese Communist Party mouthpiece “Global Times” quoted experts who praised the effort.
A report in the “Global Times” said that because both countries were emerging economies and members of BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, there was a lot of room for them to work together. This included sharing data, experience, and training astronauts for deep-space missions and manned missions.
India and China have both done tests to destroy satellites as part of their armed use of space. With this power, you can fire a weapon that can destroy a satellite.
