Two Security Personnel Injured in Blast Triggered by Naxals in Chhattisgarh

The incident happened in Abujmarh in Narayanpur district, which is a stronghold for Naxals. It happened in the morning when a road-opening party (a team in charge of making sure military vehicles can get through safely) went out on patrol.

Two soldiers were hurt when an IED went off while they were moving from their camp to a nearby village called Garpa. The injured soldiers are being treated at a hospital, according to a police source.

Two days ago, three people were hurt and one person was killed in two separate incidents in the same neighborhood.

On Thursday, two CRPF soldiers were hurt in another IED blast set off by Naxalites in the nearby town of Bijapur.

In Sukma area, similar IED blasts hurt a 10-year-old boy and two police officers.

Naxals set off an IED in Bijapur on January 6, killing up to eight police officers and their driver.
