A statement issued by the state government stated that the Manipur High Authority (MHA) has reimposed the Protected Area Permit in Manipur due to the security concerns that have arisen as a result of the migration of people from surrounding nations. All international visitors to Manipur would be subject to stringent surveillance, and they will be required to obtain the appropriate permit before entering the state limits. In addition, the restrictions have been reinstated in the states of Nagaland and Mizoram.
