IMPHAL: The situation in the State remained fraught but under control as security forces continued search operations to maintain law and order in Manipur.
Security forces have facilitated the movement of 181 vehicles along NH-37 and 30 vehicles along NH-2 in the past 24 hours, which were transporting essential items. Security convoys were deployed along sensitive sections to ensure the free and safe passage of vehicles, and stringent security measures were implemented at vulnerable locations.
A joint team of State Police and Central Forces conducted search operations and area domination in the peripheral and vulnerable regions of both the hill and valley districts of Manipur over the past 24 hours.
The authorities advised the general public to be cautious of false videos and to avoid believing rumors. They also urged the public to promptly return any plundered arms, ammunition, and explosives to the police or the nearest security forces.
