Security forces conducted search operations and area domination in fringe and vulnerable regions across the hill and valley districts of Manipur, leading to the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition.
During the operations in the forest areas of Saiboh village in Churachandpur District, 01 SLR (Self-Loading Rifle) with magazine, 03 Single Barrel Breech Loading (SBBL) country-made firearms, 02 9mm pistols with magazines, 03 live rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 04 live SBBL ammunition were seized.
Meanwhile, the movement of vehicles carrying essential goods was ensured along the state’s key highways. Authorities confirmed that 232 vehicles along NH-37 and 3 vehicles along NH-2 transported essential items safely under strict security arrangements. Security convoys were deployed in sensitive stretches to prevent disruptions and ensure the safe transit of goods.
