Imphal: During an operation, Manipur police and Indian security personnel discovered a makeshift militant camp and retrieved a sizable stash of explosives, ammunition, and weapons.
On Sunday, the combined team attacked an improvised camp in the general vicinity of Lukhongjang Ridges, which is within the jurisdiction of New Keithelmanbi Police Station in Kangpokpi District, as part of the joint operation.
The camp was fully disassembled, according to police, and a significant amount of weapons, explosives, and supplies were found there.
Five 9 mm pistols with an equal number of magazines, two SBBL guns, two 36 handgrenades, six live rounds of ammo, two standard stun shells, one chilli tear smoke round, one tear smoke shell, and a m/set (Motorola) were among the things recovered.
According to the sources, the recovered objects have been sent over to the relevant police stations for legal formalities because no arrests have been made.
