Three cadres of prohibited organizations were apprehended by security forces in separate operations conducted in the Thoubal and Imphal West districts of Manipur on Friday (January 24, 2025), according to the police.
They reported that on Thursday, two members of the Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG), which is prohibited, were apprehended in Thoubal’s Uningkhong.
From their possession, ammunition, pistols, currency, and other items were retrieved.
In a separate operation, a police officer reported that a member of the illegal Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) was apprehended from Langol Type III in Imphal West on Wednesday.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
