Arms and Ammunition Are Recovered by Security Forces in the Churachandpur District

Security forces conducted search operations in vulnerable areas of Manipur's hill and valley districts, recovering a cache of arms and ammunition. They ensured secure transportation of essential products and bolstered vigilance to prevent public safety threats.

Security forces conducted search operations and area domination in the peripheral and vulnerable areas of Manipur’s hill and valley districts in an effort to preserve law and order. The operation resulted in the recovery of a substantial cache of arms and ammunition from Loilamkot to Nalon, which is located within the Henglep Police Station in the Churachandpur District.

Six Rocket IEDs with one launcher, one country-made mortar (Pompi), one 7.62mm sniper round, one sniper magazine, three tear smoke shells (short range), four tear smoke shells (CS gas), two tear smoke shells (normal), one 38mm riot control cartridge with rubber bullet, three IED shells, three helmets, and three bulletproof jackets with one fiber plate were recovered.

In the interim, the authorities ensured the secure transportation of essential products along National Highways 2 and 37. 290 and 212 vehicles, respectively, were escorted under stringent security protocols. In order to ensure uninterrupted and secure transportation, security convoys were established in sensitive regions.

In an effort to avert any potential threats to public safety, security forces are bolstering their vigilance throughout the region.
