On January 27, a heavy exchange of gunfire breakout near border pillar no. 87, which is situated along the Indo-Myanmar border. This incident resulted in the deaths of at least 10 militants and the injury of numerous others.
According to reports, the gunfight took place in the Kamjong district, where Manipur militants were involved.
Reports suggest tha, the militants were members of the Kuki National Army – Burma (KNA-B), a group that is purportedly active in the region.
The KNA-B side is believed to have suffered substantial casualties in the conflict, with the death toll reaching approximately 10, and numerous others sustaining injuries.
